Celery Can Reduce Blood Pressure

Celery has a flavoursome juice. It has a sweet and bitter flavour and is cool and crispy in nature. It can be eaten raw, or can be consumed cooked. It is rich in vitamins, carotene, calcium and phosphorus etc. Chinese medicine ancient treatment recorded that celery is sweet and cool in nature, and able to clear the mind and rid frustration "heat", cool and clear the blood, intestine, stomach, and calm the liver. In the medical clinic, we often recommend it to patients, and it is used as one of an assisted treatment options.

Those who suffer from hypertension or hypercholesterolaemia, should eat more celery. One can consume it raw, or juice one glass of celery with carrot, to help thin the blood and reduce blood pressure.

Those who suffer from liver "heat", tension, insomnia or copious dreams, should eat more celery. During the evening time, drink a glass of celery juice mixed with milk (half a portion each). It serves to calm the nervous system and increase sleep duration.
